Nicole
Marketing & Outreach | Artist
From customer to operations leader, Nicole has been part of The ReCONNstruction Center’s community for more than a decade. A dedicated junker and self-proclaimed chaos goblin, she officially joined the organization’s day-to-day operations in the winter of 2025.
Nicole is a Community Health Nurse Practitioner with a decade of foundational practice in emergency nursing. Before her nursing career, she worked in community organizing a grassroots background that continues to shape her passion for building connections, strengthening communities, and making resources more accessible.
Outside of ReCONN, Nicole is the artist behind Little Fox Watercolors, where she creates paintings and her signature Hardwear accessories from reclaimed architectural hardware.
At ReCONN, Nicole leads marketing, online sales, storytelling, and community outreach. She helped launch the nonprofit’s online initiatives, transforming what was once an almost entirely word-of-mouth organization into one that reaches hundreds of new people each week. Through humor, creativity, and a deep appreciation for architectural salvage, she has helped connect a new generation of customers, volunteers, donors, and community partners with ReCONN’s mission.
Volunteer | Locksmith & Restoration Specialist
As wise as he is handy, John is one of ReCONN’s longest-tenured volunteers. Like so many of our volunteers, he first discovered ReCONN as a customer searching for parts.
John believes we all share a responsibility to reduce waste, use our resources thoughtfully, and give back through service to our communities. With those values in mind, he asked if he could volunteer “from time to time.”
That was a long time ago.
Today, John has his own workstation and uses decades of locksmithing expertise to clean, rebuild, repair, and rekey donated locks, mortise hardware, and door components, giving countless pieces a second life before they find new homes.
Low key, (see what I did there), John is among one of ReCONN’s best teachers. It’s not uncommon for him to uncover an unfamiliar antique hand tool in a donation and provide a history on what it is, how it was used, its condition, and who might appreciate it today. His knowledge preserves not only the tools themselves, but also the craftsmanship and history behind them.
One final note: Do NOT touch his tools.

Tina has been the employee of the month, every month, for multiple years now.
Tina has been a familiar face at The ReCONNstruction Center for many years. A longtime cashier, volunteer, helper, and beloved member of our community, she helped welcome countless customers through our doors.
While Tina is currently on a well-earned sabbatical from her role in the store, she remains very much a part of the ReCONN family. Customers still ask about her, and every new volunteer quickly learns who she is. Her kindness, dedication, and unmistakable presence have left a lasting mark on our organization.
